Bruce Barton Bruce Barton has been a resident of the Seattle area since graduating from San Jose State University with a BA in Meteorology. After a year of graduate studies in atmospheric science at the University of Washington, he spent another four years at Pacific School of Theology, earning a Bachelor of Theology degree. He has also completed studies in engineering and electronics, and is a pilot and flight instructor. Mr. Barton recently retired from his position as an instrumentation engineer in Research and Development for Weyerhaeuser Company. He has a broad background as a teacher and speaker to groups of all ages, in a wide range of subjects including science and technology, aviation, and Bible topics, particularly apologetics. Bruce combines his background in science and engineering with his Bible knowledge to show how science and a literal interpretation of the Bible are compatible, and why the Bible is still relevant today. He has spoken to a number of groups on the subject of creation vs. evolution, covering subjects from the Big Bang to Darwinism to dinosaurs. Bruce’s family shares his interest in creation science, and they frequently participate in related activities together. His wife Sandra is a teacher of homeschool groups and specializes in teaching science subjects. He and his wife Sandra have been members of the Creation Association of Puget Sound for a number of years, and Bruce currently serves as vice president. They occasionally help Lloyd and Doris Anderson with the Seven Wonders Creation Museum near Mt. St. Helens. In addition to teaching activities, they raise Guide Dog puppies through 4-H and Guide Dogs for the Blind of San Rafael, CA. They have two grown sons and a granddaughter. Their sons are both veterans of the Iraq war, serving 14 months in a Chinook helicopter unit. Their older son Nate is currently stationed at Fort Rucker, Alabama, undergoing Chinook helicopter pilot training as a Warrant Officer. Their younger son Chris is working toward an Airframe and Powerplant Mechanic Certificate. The Barton family attends New Heart Worship Center in the Auburn – Federal Way area of Washington.
